Centurion Fire Safety Solutions Ltd (Centurion) have an exciting and rewarding Fire Safety Engineering Consultant role based out of our Roker office Sunderland. We will consider Graduate Fire Engineer, Fire Engineer or Senior Fire Engineer positions.
Please note this role is not open to persons requiring UK sponsorship we have that role filled. Nor do we require sprinkler engineers, fire detection engineers, life safety mechanical engineers or similar, however thanks for looking.

Our growing and dedicated team with an enviable portfolio of projects across all disciplines, requires a capable and enthusiastic qualified Fire Safety Engineering consultant (Graduate Fire Engineer, Fire Engineer or Senior Fire Engineer ) to join Centurion in ensuring our Clients our Team and you as an Individual, thrive in both delivering and achieving excellence.
Your skills & preferred experience :
- You must hold a suitable Fire Engineering Degree or beyond BEng/BSc/MSc/Chartered
- Have a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant British Standards and Fire Safety guidance demonstrating and interpreting routes to compliance
- Preferred – demonstrable professional experience in fire and life safety designs and fire engineered solutions for a variety of UK-based projects.
- Be able to gain agreement for prescriptive and performance-based design solutions from the Authorities Having Jurisdiction
- Work with the Centurion team to manage a wide portfolio of fire engineering projects, taking ownership of assigned projects, and ensuring deliverables.
- Represent Centurion at design team meetings, both internal and externally, site visits, reviews and assessments.
What we offer you:
Competitive salary TBD
- A 4.5-day week for a full salary package (we will consider your personal commitments and offer flexibility on start and finish times). 4 days are scheduled as office based, the half day may be worked remote from a location that suits.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Attractive salary and benefits package including employer pension contributions
- Holiday entitlement of 28 days per annum including B/H plus an opportunity to purchase up to an additional 5-day NOTE: working 4.5 days per week instead of 5 therefore circa 26 days of extra paid leave.
